Synopsis

An indeterminate, minimalist space

C, M, B, and A traverse a psychological landscape of anguish and yearning in Sarah Kane’s haunting and fragmented play. Each character is on a desperate quest for love, identity, and solace, battling internal demons and fractured relationships. Through disjointed and poetic dialogue, they reveal their deepest pains and desires, intertwining their voices in a raw and emotional symphony.

The play eschews traditional plot and character development, focusing instead on the raw, emotional currents that drive the characters. Through their cryptic and often overlapping speeches, “Crave” delves into themes of mental illness, trauma, and the search for meaning in a chaotic world. The stark and minimalist setting, with no clear physical environment, emphasises the internal landscapes of the characters’ minds, making the audience feel their pain and confusion viscerally.
