Synopsis

Berlin, 1930s

Max, a flamboyant and promiscuous gay man in 1930s Berlin, enjoys the hedonistic nightlife of the Weimar Republic, seemingly oblivious to the rising tide of Nazism. His life of frivolity is upended when he and his lover, Rudy, are swept up in the brutality of the Night of the Long Knives. Forced to flee for their lives, they are eventually captured.
