Synopsis

England, 1970, amidst the social upheavals of the time

In Three Months Gone, Anna Bowers navigates the tumultuous waters of personal and sexual liberation in swinging London. As she explores her desires and challenges societal expectations, Anna’s journey is punctuated by humorous and often risqué encounters involving her friend Alvin Hanker and her brother Maurice. Their intertwining stories create a tapestry of relationships that reflect the changing social landscape of the era.

Howarth’s comedy boldly tackles themes of sexual freedom and identity, pushing boundaries with its frank discussions and situations. Through witty dialogue and provocative scenarios, the play captures the essence of a society in flux, where traditional norms are being questioned and discarded. Three Months Gone serves as both a time capsule of the sexual revolution and a timeless exploration of human relationships, challenging audiences to confront their own attitudes towards love, sex, and personal freedom.
