What our readers say

The film based on this play is such a big hit, that it’s hard to separate the two. The play joyfully celebrates everyone’s unique identity. But some parts, like the way it portrays the transvestite character, can feel a bit off today. While it does a great job embracing different identities, especially from when it was written, some bits might feel old-fashioned now.
