Synopsis

Rob, 34, stands alone as he recounts his journey from a child with a death sentence to a man contemplating the price of foreknowledge. Diagnosed with a fatal heart condition at 8, Rob survived against all odds. Now, he wrestles with the decision to spend $3000 on a genetic test promising to reveal how he’ll die.

The Hole of my Heart is an exploration of mortality, medical mysteries, and the human desire to control the uncontrollable. As Rob teeters on the edge of buying his own prophecy, the play challenges us to consider the value of such knowledge and its impact on how we choose to live.
