Synopsis
A shimmering fountain in the heart of Waltham Forest, where water and light dance in harmony, soon to be transformed into a living canvas of South Asian culture.
Fazal Hussein, a passionate music promoter and elder in the South Asian community, sparks an artistic revolution. His vision, born from the collective wisdom of male South Asian elders, breathes new life into beloved melodies from their homeland.
This groundbreaking performance weaves together the threads of music, live performance, and illustration, creating a tapestry of cultural memory and contemporary expression. As the fountain’s waters pulse with rhythm, artists will paint vivid stories in sound and image, bridging generations and continents.
Through this innovative fusion of art forms, Hussein and collaborators challenge traditional boundaries, inviting audiences to experience familiar songs through fresh eyes and ears. The iconic Town Hall fountain becomes more than mere architecture – it transforms into a living, breathing conduit for cultural exchange and celebration.
