Synopsis

In a London restaurant, conversations unravel and realities blur as diners confront their darkest truths.

At an upscale restaurant, Gerald awkwardly attempts to reconnect with his estranged son Daniel, who claims to have been tortured. Meanwhile, Mary and Stina engage in increasingly surreal role-play, blending memories and fantasies. As Harry, the waiter, interjects with his own disturbing phone calls and actions, the lines between truth and fiction, victim and perpetrator begin to dissolve.

Chris Goode’s experimental play weaves together fragmented narratives, exploring themes of violence, intimacy, and social unrest. Through overlapping dialogues and shifting perspectives, the characters grapple with personal traumas and societal tensions. The play’s non-linear structure and darkly comic tone create a disorienting atmosphere, challenging audiences to piece together the truth amidst a backdrop of political upheaval and individual disintegration.
