Synopsis

A soldier’s mother traverses war-torn Chechnya in 1996, searching for her sleepwalking son.

Lyubov Andreevna embarks on a harrowing journey across Chechnya to find her son, Anatoly, a Russian soldier who has gone missing during the conflict. As she navigates through war-ravaged landscapes and encounters both Chechen fighters and Russian soldiers, Lyubov’s quest becomes a poignant exploration of motherhood, war, and the blurred lines between victim and aggressor.
