Synopsis

An isolated military bunker, 2040

Gwen stands in the eerie silence of the bunker, her mind racing with memories of a world she barely recognises. In Sand, she battles against time and her own unraveling psyche, trying to piece together fragments of history amidst the desolate landscape. As her team uncovers relics from a forgotten era, the haunting presence of the past threatens to consume them, blurring the lines between reality and nightmare.

Sand delves into themes of memory, trauma, and the passage of time. The play’s non-linear narrative and fragmented form mirror Gwen’s disoriented mental state, creating a disquieting and immersive experience. With a tone that shifts from introspective to nightmarish, and a style rich in vivid imagery and haunting monologues, Sand challenges the audience to question their own perceptions of history and identity.
