Synopsis

A modern office building where ambition, desire, and corporate politics collide across multiple floors.

Angelika and Sabine are two women vying for a promotion; Robert and Patrizia are locked in a battle over an advertising campaign; and Hans and Frank compete for a coveted position in Delhi.

The play is a sharp critique of corporate culture, exploring themes of ambition, manipulation, and the commodification of relationships. Schimmelpfennig employs a fragmented narrative structure, with overlapping dialogues and internal monologues that reveal the characters’ true thoughts and motivations. Through this technique, he exposes the disconnect between public personas and private desires.
