Synopsis

A dimly lit living room during a late-night cocktail party

A seemingly innocuous cocktail party hosted by Louis and Annette descends into a nightmarish exploration of human desires and anxieties. As guests Peter, Carl, Melinda, and Jane navigate increasingly bizarre social interactions, their polite facades crumble to reveal the dark undercurrents of their psyches.

Shawn’s fragmented dialogue and minimalist setting create a claustrophobic atmosphere where social norms disintegrate, exposing the characters’ hidden fears and fantasies. Through a series of disturbing revelations and boundary-crossing encounters, Our Late Night delves into themes of alienation, sexual tension, and the fragility of human connections. The play serves as a provocative examination of the gulf between our public personas and our most private, unsettling thoughts.
