Synopsis

Alesh and Gregor, two mysterious men with a violent past, sell Christmas trees in a city while Natalia, a lonely woman, becomes entangled in their dark world. As the play progresses, identities shift and merge, and the characters find themselves caught in a cycle of desire, violence, and transformation.

Julia Jarcho’s writing style is poetic and unsettling, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that explores themes of identity, gender, love, and the dark undercurrents of human nature. The play’s three-part structure and shifting character names contribute to the sense of disorientation and ambiguity, inviting the audience to question the nature of reality and the boundaries between self and other.
