Synopsis
A Year 4 classroom in Castlegrave Community Primary School
In a Year 4 classroom, a rebellion is brewing. Meet Louie, a defiant 8-year-old who refuses to conform to the new behavior management system created by children’s author Sali Rayner. As Louie rallies their classmates against the program’s mascot, Badger Do Best, the classroom descends into chaos. Caught in the crossfire are the well-meaning teacher Ms Newsome and the headteacher Ms Evitt, who is desperate for the program to succeed at all costs.
This biting satire takes a provocative look at the education system, social control, and the price of conformity. As the characters grapple with the tension between individuality and obedience, we are forced to question the true purpose of the educational framework we so readily embrace.
