Synopsis
Holly Finnegan is a feisty ten-year-old who thinks Christmas is rubbish. She’s determined to meet her real dad, whom she has never seen, and she believes Santa is the only one who can help. Every year, she sends Santa the same letter, asking to meet her dad instead of getting presents, but her wish is never granted. This year, Holly has had enough and decides to take matters into her own hands. On Christmas Eve, armed with a series of traps, she sets out to catch Santa and make him fulfil her wish.
The play explores family, expectations, hope, and disillusionment. The play is filled with witty dialogue and imaginative scenarios that highlight Holly’s determination and the absurdity of her situation. Through her interactions with her stepdad Bernard and her beloved teddy bear, the narrative delves into the complexities of family dynamics and the magical yet often disappointing nature of Christmas
