Synopsis
Northern Greece, Heathrow Airport, A detention centre in England
Petra Karagy embarks on a relentless quest to find her missing son, Alexander. From a small archaeological dig in Northern Greece to the sterile, overwhelming corridors of Heathrow Airport, Petra’s journey is fraught with emotional and physical challenges. Guided by an unyielding maternal instinct and deep-rooted love, Petra confronts a labyrinth of bureaucracy, cultural clashes, and haunting memories.
The narrative, rich with intense encounters and dramatic revelations, paints a vivid picture of displacement and identity. Petra’s interactions with a diverse cast—including fellow detainees in a bleak detention centre and indifferent officials—highlight the harsh realities of the immigrant experience. The play masterfully weaves together past and present, illustrating the complex layers of history that define and divide us. Through Petra’s eyes, we witness a story of unwavering determination, maternal love, and the relentless search for truth.
