Synopsis

A dingy London flat explodes with the raw energy of electric guitars and shattered dreams

Alison, a young woman reeling from a breakup with Jimmy, stands at the precipice of an identity crisis. As power chords reverberate through her world, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery that’s equal parts exhilarating and terrifying. Each song becomes a battlecry, challenging societal expectations and the ghosts of her past relationship.

Butler and Persad’s play pulsates with the frenetic energy of a punk concert and the emotional depth of a confessional. Through a series of thrashing musical numbers, the show deconstructs the familiar breakup narrative, transforming it into a searing exploration of female empowerment and the messy process of reinvention.
