Pablo Manzi is a Chilean playwright, director, and actor known for his thought-provoking explorations of societal dynamics within Latin America. Much of his work has been with the theatre collective BONOBO, where he created plays such as Amansadura (2014), Donde Viven los Bárbaros (2015), and Tú Amarás (2018), which have been performed at festivals around the world. In 2021, Manzi made his English-language debut at the Royal Court Theatre with A Fight Against… (Una Lucha Contra…), a piece developed during his residency here. His writing is characterised by dark humour and an incisive look at how violence shapes communities. Manzi has received several awards, including the Art Critics’ Circle’s Best Script award for Donde Viven los Bárbaros in 2015.
