Oli Forsyth is a British playwright, poet, and actor from London. In 2013, he founded Smoke & Oakum Theatre, a company dedicated to producing new writing. His play Tinderbox (2014) was performed in London and at the Edinburgh Festival, where it was nominated for an Amnesty International Award. Cornermen (2015) premiered at The Old Red Lion Theatre before transferring to The Pleasance and later to The New Diorama and the VAULT Festival. Forsyth’s writing often explores contemporary social issues with a focus on character-driven narratives. In 2024, he received the Jerwood New Playwright award, and his play Brace Brace premiered at the Royal Court Theatre.
