Cleo Raatus, also known as Cleo Wesley Raatus or Cleo Wesley, is a South African actor, writer, singer, and voice-over artist. They completed a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Performance at the University of Cape Town in 2015. In 2016, Raatus made their professional theatre debut in the Fugard Theatre’s musical District Six – Kanala, directed by David Kramer. They also co-created and performed in The Fall, a play reflecting on the South African student protests of 2015 and 2016.
Raatus’s theatre performances include roles such as “Friar Laurence” in Romeo and Juliet and “Prodo” in Scenes from an Execution. Their film appearances encompass Runs in the Family, Table Mountain (a short film), and Nightmare on Long Street. In television, Raatus has conceived and directed projects like No Where, Hallucinations, and Shook (with Rudi Smit).
