Clare Pollard FRSL is a British poet, playwright, and novelist. Her debut poetry collection, The Heavy-Petting Zoo (1998), was published while she was still a teenager. She has since released several collections, including Bedtime (2002) and Incarnation (2017). Pollard’s play, The Weather, premiered at the Royal Court in 2004. Her first novel, Delphi (2022), was recognised as a Guardian Best Book of the Year. She has also served as the editor of Modern Poetry in Translation.
