Camila Le-Bert is a Chilean-American actor, writer, and translator currently residing in Santiago, Chile, within the Wallmapu territory. Though she was born in Chile, she spent much of her early life growing up in Minnesota, USA. Le-Bert earned a degree in Acting from the University of Chile and later completed an MFA in Playwriting at Columbia University. Her writing explores themes such as women’s experiences, migration, and neoliberalism, often employing dark humour, synthetic dialogue, layered voices, and elements of found text. Her notable works include Polis (2010), Mis Tres Hermanas (2008), Betamax (2005), and her first play, Chicos Tóxicos (2004). In addition, she is the founder and director of Lápiz de Mina, a festival dedicated to showcasing women’s playwriting.
