Billy Roche

Billy Roche is an Irish playwright, novelist, and actor from Wexford. He gained prominence with his Wexford Trilogy, comprising A Handful of Stars, Poor Beast in the Rain, and Belfry, which vividly depict life in small-town Ireland. Roche’s works are celebrated for their authentic dialogue and deep character studies. He has also written novels, including Tumbling Down, and continues to contribute to Irish literature and theatre.
