Bille Brown was an Australian stage, film, and television actor and playwright. Born in Biloela, Queensland, he graduated from the University of Queensland before joining the Queensland Theatre Company. Brown’s extensive career included performances with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the UK and roles in films such as The Dish and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. As a playwright, his works include The School of Arts and Bill and Mary. He was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2011 for his contributions to the performing arts.
