Barbara Colio

Barbara Colio is a writer and director from Mexicali, Baja, California. Her works have been translated into multiple languages and performed internationally, and she has been a writer-in-residence in the USA, Spain, Singapore, and China. In 2001, she was invited to serve an International residency at the Royal Court. Colio’s works often explore complex human relationships and societal themes, earning her numerous awards, such as the Juan Ruiz de Alarcón National Playwriting Prize.
