Aphra Behn

Aphra Behn was an English playwright, poet, and novelist, and one of the first English women to earn a living through writing. Her notable works include the play The Rover and the novel Oroonoko. Behn’s contributions to literature and her role as a female writer in the Restoration period have been widely studied and celebrated.
