Anton Gill is a British author and historian. He was educated at Chigwell School and Clare College, Cambridge. Before becoming a full-time writer in 1984, Gill worked in theatre, notably at the Royal Court Theatre in London, and for the Arts Council and the BBC. He has authored over 40 books, encompassing both fiction and non-fiction, with a focus on contemporary European history. His notable works include The Journey Back from Hell, an account of Holocaust survivors, and a series of historical mysteries set in Ancient Egypt during the Amarna Period. Gill has also written under the pseudonym Oliver Bowden, notably for the Assassin’s Creed novel series.
