Anna Yablonska (born Hannah Hryhorivna Mashutina) was a Ukrainian playwright and poet. Writing under her pseudonym, she authored over a dozen Russian-language plays, many of which were staged in Russia, particularly in Saint Petersburg. Her works often explored contemporary social issues and human relationships, earning her several awards in literary and dramatic circles across Russia and Belarus. In 2010, she won an award from Cinema Art magazine. However, on her way to the award ceremony, she was tragically killed by the explosion of an improvised device in Domodedovo International Airport. Royal Court director Simon Godwin wrote this tribute.
