Ana Maria Vallejo is a playwright, director, actress, teacher and film scriptwriter. She wrote Swollen Foot (Pies hinchado) which was performed at the Royal Court in 2002. Vallejo holds master’s degrees in Plastic Arts from the National University of Colombia (Medellín campus) and Theatre Studies from Sorbonne University, Paris III. She has also studied acting at the Stella Adler School in New York and Contemporary French Literature at Sorbonne University, Paris IV.
Vallejo’s other works include the following titles: Juanita in a Red Swimsuit (1995), Bosque húmedo (1997), Violeta (1998), Pasajeras (2000), and Magnolia perdida en sueños (2000), with which she won the British Council Scholarship for the Residency in Playwriting at the Royal Court Theatre.
