Alun Saunders
Alun Saunders trained as an actor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He achieved acclaim by winning Sherman Cymru’s ScriptSlam competition in 2008 with his short play To Be Frank. Since then, Saunders has contributed works to Theatr na n’Og and Sherman Cymru, as well as a series of short plays for Dirty Protest Theatre. His play 6:37 was selected by for performances at the Royal Court Theatre, Latitude Festival, and National Theatre Wales’ Dirty, Gifted & Welsh weekend of new writing. In 2016, Saunders received the Wales Theatre Award for Best Play in the English Language for his debut full-length play, A Good Clean Heart.
