Alexey Sutuga

Alexey “Socrates” Sutuga was a Russian acitivist, former political prisoner, and creative who took part in many different anarchist initiatives, notably the creation of Autonomous Action.

He was involved in various creative projects: he was the frontman of the Oi! -Punk group Working Boys and his prison memoir Dialogues about prison was published in Russian. He made his stage debut for Theatr.doc in Torture as well as advising the authors of the play, telling them of the tortures applied to him.

In the last years of his life, Alexei lived in Moscow, working in construction, repair and as a scaffolder.
