Adam Pernak is an accomplished writer and educator. In 1993, he won the Young Writer’s Festival Award and his debut play, Killers earned him the place of joint winner of the George Devine Award. Pernak’s writing is noted for its ability to reflect the nuances of everyday life, often focusing on individuals caught in difficult or morally ambiguous circumstances.

Throughout his career, Adam has collaborated with notable writers and directors, including Sir Alan Ayckbourn, Willy Russell, Max Stafford-Clark, Jude Kelly, and Stephen Daldry. His residencies with the Arts Council at the Royal National Theatre and West Yorkshire Playhouse involved leading creative writing workshops for both children and adults, as well as providing dramaturgical support to other professional writers.
