Sabrina Ali is a British-Somali writer and actor based in South West London. She made her debut with HOME (2019) by Side eYe and went on to create Muna Knows It All (2021), a one-woman play addressing the limited roles available for Somali and Muslim women in theatre. Ali’s work consistently highlights voices and experiences often overlooked, blending her acting talent with a deep understanding of underrepresented voices. Her recent play, Dugsi Dayz, was met with acclaim at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe, winning the BBC Writersroom Popcorn Award and the New Diorama & Underbelly Untapped Award. Recognised as a breakout hit by Rolling Stone Magazine, Dugsi Dayz went on to performances at the New Diorama Theatre and the Royal Court in 2024. As of 2024, Ali has been adapting Dugsi Dayz with BBC Studios.
